Alright, well been doing more job hunting. Going to do a lot more tomorrow, but for now, just been calling places that I've applied at. No luck so far, but I plan to keep trying.

Today is the first time I'll write about today. I went to a memorial day cookout with a friend of mine, then went to a Dallas Symphony Orchestra concert at Flag Pole Hill and watched the concert and fireworks show. Also swam for the first time in a long time today. Felt good to get back in the water.

Well, back to writing about past events. I've been doing some more reading for my summer project. Seems to be going pretty well. I need to check with my counterpart and see how his reading is going, if he's doing any. Hopefully I'll be done with the reading I want by the end of next week, so that next weekend I won't have anything to do. I hope to be able to drive down to see my girlfriend this weekend. Depends on a lot of things though.

Let's see, other than that, I guess the only thing left to talk about is the Jeep. I have a buddy of mine who just put a full tank of gas in it so that I can go job hunting a lot easier for the next week to week and a half. He also will be helping me to install the electric door lock/unlock thing I bought at AutoZone awhile back. First though, he's taking me to a junk yard so that I can get some relays to replace the ones I have on the Jeep now, as I think at least one of them is bad. We'll see how that goes, and I'll let you know how things go as it keeps getting work done to it.

All the best,

Eric Prince

Alright, so another day late. I guess some day I'll do two posts on one day to make up for missing Friday. We'll see about when.

So, yesterday I got a call from an old friend asking me for a favor. Knowing who this friend is, I said "probably not, but I'll hear you out." Well, turns out he needed a ride home. Where from, you ask? Abilene. "What?" I asked him. Was he crazy? Long story made somewhat shorter, I said no. The Jeep has no gas and is not reliable enough at the moment to make a 6 hour round trip. I did say sorry to him though, just to keep things, er, smooth.

Anyways, moving on from that. I did apply at a few more places yesterday. Another couple of Autozone's, another BestBuy location, to name a couple. Hopefully soon something will hit. Persistence is key I guess, just not quite as key as patience.

Hmm, what else went on the past couple days? Well, not much really. Been working on that blog post I mentioned in an earlier post, but it's taking longer than I thought it would to get it back. I'll post it up when I get it back, edited, and finished.

Well, with that, I guess I'll leave you so that I can get back to catching up on tv shows I'd like to watch. Hope y'all are having a good weekend!

All the best,

Eric Prince

Alright, so this is late, but I'm writing 2 today, so I'm making up for it.

Alright, well, lets see, over the past two days I've been calling people that I've applied for jobs at their stores. So far, not much is going well on that front. But, it just takes time and effort. Soon I'll have a job, I hope. I also did some reading yesterday.

So, not too much has been going on other than job hunting and reading. I was going to go this Sunday to visit with Terra, but don't think that's going to happen. I have been catching up on Two and a Half Men though and I got to tell you, while it is a pretty bad show morally, it is absolutely hilarious! Haha, definitely worth watching.

Well, I'm looking forward to today. Should have plenty of job hunting to do. Hopefully I'll have a job by the end of next week. I'll definitely keep yall posted.

All the best,

Eric Prince

Alright, on to day 2. Yesterday was a good day. Got some job hunting done for a few hours, then came home and ate, then crashed for some reason a little before 7 at night. I don't know why I did, but I ended up waking up about 4 this morning and haven't been ab;e to go back to sleep. Maybe I just had to reset the system.

Today, I have a lot of places to call about the job hunting I've been doing. Have to set up my appointment for my braces (should be getting them off soon) and call a few friends, see how things have been going with them. But beyond that, today is a pretty open day. I hope to have a full tank of gas pretty soon, which will help with the job hunting.

Well, I guess on to more substantive discussion. The reading for my project has continued to go well. Got a lot more reading and some notes writing done this morning and yesterday after I got home from job hunting. Also started a blog post that once a friend of mine gets done looking at it and adding some thoughts of his should be up here. Hopefully I'll have it up by tonight.

That blog will be entitled "Liberty vs. Security" and I hope it will be a good read. Please keep in mind a few things when you read anything of mine about politics. Heck, about anything. 1) I am not always right and I know that. Most of what I write will be my opinion. Please read it and feel free to debate it, but please, no personal attacks or offensive language. It's really counterproductive. And 2) Reality may be completely different than either me or you think. I realize that, and I know that my opinion may be completely wrong. So take it easy on me, would ya?

Well, with that, I leave you for now. I may come back on later and edit this post to add on how job hunting is going.

All the best,

Eric Prince

But without life, neither liberty nor property is possible, therefor we must protect life first and foremost among the rights which our Creator has given us. If we do not protect the lives of the innocent, we ourselves then can not have true liberty or property." - me

So, I tried a photo 365 a while back, and it didn't work out so great. I just saw that a friend of mine decided to do it through her blog though, so I figure I'll give it a try. Sorry for stealing Mahaleigh!

So, I guess I'll start by talking about the past few weeks. I didn't do so hot at UTD this last semester. 2 A's, a B+, a D and an F. :/ Going to apply to quad C soon, take classes there, get the GPA up, and transfer to somewhere cheap with a poli sci degree plan. There was a time when I was good at school, but it feels like it has come and gone for now. I just hope it's part of the wave cycle and it peaks again, and soon. I want to be able to get my education and move out. Unfortunately, I do not have a job at the moment, no money in the bank, and no gas in the Jeep. Not to mention I need to get it looked at, but my folks don't know that just yet. It feels like the tranny is giving me some intermittent problems. It slips gears once or twice at the start of the day, but once the engine warms up a bit, it's fine. So for now, just crossing the fingers and praying.

On to work, or rather, my lack of it. I've been job hunting for the past week and a half now, with no results. My brother practically a job the first day he went looking: at Aeropostale for that matter. A fairly easy retail job. I'm looking for retail mainly, something I can work long and hard at but not smell of chicken and grease when I leave. I really don't want to work with food. In any case, if anyone reading this knows a place that's hiring, let me know, regardless of the type of job please!

Lets see, what else can I talk about? Well, what else, how's about politics? Haha, for those that know me, this should come as no surprise. I'll keep it brief though. Me and one guy from UTD have started a project, one that looks like a winner. Doing a lot of reading, stuff that would normally put any sane person to sleep. Pretty soon, I'll be done reading, and on to the writing that will take the rest of the summer and probably some of September. It doesn't matter if I'm at UTD or not next semester, this project could be a really good thing, so I'm doing it no matter what.

Well, just two more things, then I'll let you go. One good note and one rather funny. I did just get back together with my now former ex girlfriend Terra. Taking it slow, but I think it's the right thing for me, I hope she thinks the same for her. And, on a funny note, I jerry-rigged my car the other day. For those that don't know, I like music sometimes when I'm in the car. If Rush, Sean, Mark, or Laura ain't on, it's 89.7 Power FM. And yes, for those that are asking, that's Limbaugh, Hannity, Levin, and Ingraham. What can I say, politics is like a train wreck: it's absolutely horrible, I hate it's existence, but I just can't take my eyes away. Anywho, back to the Jeep. I jerry-rigged the dashboard. I put 5 screws into it as walls to place an iHome into when I want to listen to music. The attached antenna actually works in the car! Haha, and I have a car power inverter so that I can plug in the darn thing. Who needs a built in radio when you can use screws and a Christmas present?

Well, with that, I will leave you.

All the best,

Eric Prince
